Senior Accountant | Temporary Opportunity (3-5 Months)

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a temporary assignment expected to last 3-5 months. This role will support technical accounting initiatives, complex transactions, month-end close activities, and audit-related projects.

Compensation: $48-$53/hour

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical accounting analyses and accounting memorandums
• Research and interpret U.S. GAAP guidance for complex transactions
• Support acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account reviews
• Support external audit requests and documentation requirements
• Partner with accounting and finance leadership on technical accounting matters

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of corporate general ledger accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with complex and non-routine accounting transactions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Experience

• Public accounting background (Big 4 or regional firm)
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Financial reporting experience
• Multi-entity accounting environment experience
• ERP experience; NetSuite preferred
• Experience supporting external audits
• Private equity-backed company experience is a plus
